Founded in 2003 by Ted Vadakan and Angie Myung, Poketo has grown from a small business to a creative hub and online destination. Born from the desire to bring art and design into everyday life, Poketo creates collections of designer objects to cultivate a creative lifestyle.

The name Poketo (pronounced "poh-keh-toe") comes from Angie's grandmother's mispronunciation of the word "pocket". It fit perfectly with the first product Poketo created: a series of pocket-sized artist portfolios – and Ted and Angie loved the sound of the name.

Poketo has worked with brands and companies such as Nike, MTV, Disney, Target, Nordstrom and MailChimp, museums including MOCA, Guggenheim, de Young and SFMOMA, and collaborated with over 200 international artists, creating exclusive products that reflect its “Art for Your Every day” philosophy.
