Who are we?
DDD, short for Dedicated to Sustainable Design, is a concept store whose mission is to inspire people to adopt a lifestyle with a lower environmental impact through design. We firmly believe that it is possible to combine style and eco-responsible thinking.
All products in our shop are selected according to 3 rules and 16 responsibility criteria . You will find everything for the home, decoration and gifts, ensuring that these products always meet the maximum criteria for each category.
We've done all this research for you, to make shopping easier and save you time. Each product page uses icons to identify all the responsibility criteria for which it was selected. What if beauty could also be good for the planet?
Owner & History
The DDD – Dedicated to Sustainable Design boutique was born online in 2018, before taking on a life of its first physical space in Montreal in 2019. Over the years, the boutique has built itself around a selection of objects carefully chosen for their quality, design and durability.
In the fall of 2022, DDD also launched its very first product collection, a significant milestone in the project's evolution.
In October 2023, Emmanuel Robin joined the adventure as director of operations. Charmed by the spirit of the boutique and the community that revolves around it, he officially became the owner in March 2025, thus continuing the story of DDD with great respect for what has been built.
About Emmanuel Robin
A passionate entrepreneur, Emmanuel first made a name for himself by founding Café MRKT , a boutique-café in the Plateau Mont-Royal that brought together and showcased many emerging creators between 2016 and 2022.
After this wonderful adventure, he chose to take a step back to explore other projects and enjoy precious time with his partner and their son.
Over the years, he has also mentored numerous designers and startups, always driven by a desire to support local talent and promote local design. This passion naturally led him to DDD , where he continues this commitment today by giving prominence to designers and objects with a story to tell.
Vision & commitment
Since his arrival, Emmanuel has wanted the shop to remain a place of discovery. Each month, new items and new designers enrich the selection, with particular attention paid to local craftsmanship.
The products offered at DDD are carefully selected according to simple yet demanding criteria: quality, authenticity, and timeless design. When certain items cannot be sourced locally or when unique craftsmanship is found elsewhere, the boutique collaborates with carefully selected international partners.
The objective remains the same: to offer well-designed, durable and meaningful objects, while meeting customer expectations and the spirit of the store.
