Marie-Joël Turgeon founded Atelier Tréma in 2004 after studying visual and media arts at UQAM. Initially focused on pictorial ceramics, she then shifted her work towards creating utilitarian tableware in collaboration with her husband, Jordan Lentink. Inspired by the marine landscapes of the Maritimes and the American East Coast, their collection evokes the horizon and the textures of objects weathered by the sea.
Based in Bedford, in the Eastern Townships, they now design practical and timeless everyday objects, drawing their inspiration from the history and heritage of their region.
