Breton stoneware butter dish, perfect for holding your butter ready to spread! Keeping butter at room temperature without it going rancid, that's the mission of the Breton butter dish.
Directions for use:
Put the butter using a wooden spoon in the lid. Pour a thin layer of fresh water into the bottom of the container, add a pinch of salt. Put the lid back on its container. Change the water every 3 days, depending on the temperature (and every day in the summer). If you are leaving for an indefinite period, remove the water and put your butter dish in the fridge.
As products are handmade, size and finish may vary slightly.
